Jpg to flv using quicktime

Hi All,

First up, I am a newbie at both this site and at applescripts, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have read all the forums in here on quicktime and I am unable to find an answer.

I need to create a four frame .flv from a .jpg. I can do this easily using quicktime pro 7.1.6 with the Flash 8 plugin. I need to do this quite often, 6 to 7 times a day, so I thought writing an applescript would work.

Here’s the workflow process I use:

  1. Open the jpg in QuickTime
  2. Select all
  3. Copy
  4. Move the timeline to the end
  5. Paste three times
  6. Export to FLV Flash 8 High Quality (700bps)

I’m hoping to create a droplet.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Lee

Welcome to the forum Lee!

I don’t have Flash 8 Installed at the moment, but this doesn’t sound too hard to do. If no one has come up with a better solution before then I will try to get it installed tomorrow and take a look at this for you.

Happy Scripting!

Thanks James!
