Keyboard/mouse interference with a running GUI script

Hi,

Is it possible to inactivate the keyboard and mouse while a GUI script is running so that any inadvertent keyboard or mouse actions don’t interfere with the running script?

It was a little radical to think that the keyboard and mouse could be deactivated. Thanks for the info.
