LargeType messages with Applescript?

Googled for hours but couldn’t find an answer…

In the AddressBook for example you can show a phone number in Large Type.
Many apps can show some information in this way and since it always looks the same I suspect that Large Type is a routine hidden somewhere in the System software.

Can I access the Large Type routines with Applescript?

Do I need an OSAX?

If you use AppleScript Studio, you can create your own interface and display text in the size, color, etc. you specify.
