Letter "i" or "I" and the keystroke command in GUI scripting

I have a strange behavior with the keystroke command.
When I write

tell application “System Events”
keystroke “aeiuo”
end tell

The result is “aequo”

I try with all the letters (upper and lower case) but the only concerned character is the “i” including “I”

Note : I don’t know if it is important but I’m on a french system
