I would like to work with customized lists as the Safaris downloads window. Going through Cocoa objects in XCode I can’t find anything that I can start to play with.

This is a pretty frequent UI-element, surely there has to be a “simple” way of doing it.

you can do this only in ObjC.
Take a look at the project UKProgressPanel 0.2 on Uli Kusterer’s site
