I was wondering if it is possible to build a script that allows me to specify a folder containing Quicktime .movs and compile a list from that folder that contains the filenames followed by the audio and video codec settings found under Format in the Movie Info pane.
Here’s the reasoning: We’re running a TV station that sequences and plays out Quicktime MOVs. Some of the content is produced in house, some of it is submitted and some of it is digitized from tape by us. All of it has to have DV/DVCPRO-NTSC video codec and 16-bit Interger (Big Endian) audio. If it doesn’t, the station goes black and it sometimes locks up our playout server.
If I had a script that I could run to periodically check the server for any files that dont match these settings, I would sleep easier at night. You guys have helped me in the past with a similar script that compiles filenames followed by the duration of MOVs and it saved us countless hours of work, hopefully this isn’t too much different.
Thanks in advance.
