.Mac + AS = Not Ideal

hey everyone,

having another post open as well - i already have a next one

i have lots of scripts that work with .mac. usually what it turns out to be is that i edit files that are on the idisk. the result is that i usually get timeout errors. is this cause AS is bad - or .mac is slow?

would it be better to move the files from the idisk to a local temporary location and then after it has edited them, back up? is that faster or not worth it?

thanks,

Hi Max,

.Mac is indeed slow (I have no idea why Apple hang on to the WebDAV access instead of a real FTP solution)
you can avoid the timeout error messages by adding with timeout blocks or according your suggestion
load the file, edit it and upload it again
