Mail.app help please...

Hi there,

I’ve been trying to Save a message out of Mail, as you would if you selected ‘Save As’ from the File Menu, but as yet I’ve had no luck.
I can write the content of a message to a text file no problems. I’ve also found quite a few posts regarding Mail on this site but nothing that helps.

Please can someone point me in the right direction syntax wise.

Thanks for the reply and the link.

I had a look at the article which is quite interesting, I think I’ll have a go at it when I get some time, it looks like a nice xcode tutorial.
Reading through the code it looks like something I already have.

I was hoping to find out whether or not it is possible to ‘Save’ the message as you would if you selected ‘Save As’ from the File menu.
If anyone has managed to do this I’d love to see the solution.

Hi Nick,

if you want to save messages as RTF files this is quite complicated because you have to
write the routines to create the RTF code. Download the source of Andreas Amman’s Mail Scripts
and take a look, how he did that.
