Mavericks, Applescript and Printer setup utility

Hi, this might be of use to some of you.

I’ve got an applescript that (using Acrobat) crops imposed printer proof pdf files so I can print them on the desktop printer for checking. Anyway, when I ran it just now it failed because 'Printer Setup Utility ’ could not be found … It seems it wasn’t included in Mavericks. Before Mavericks it was located in HD/System/library/CoreServices/

Anyway, all I had to do was restore it from Time Machine, and my script runs now!

Cheers,

Kev.

In the same folder is an application named : AddPrinter.app which seems to be the new PrinterUtility.

Ah, hadn’t noticed that. Still, Applescript seems happy with a restored version of Print Setup Utility.

I might try rewriting my script to talk to ‘AddPrinter.app’, just to see if it works.

Cheers,

Kev
