I’m sorry for pseudo-double-posting, but my other thread is in the applescript+command line forum, and I just thought of a need for this not using the command line. Basically, I need a script that can find IP addresses of machines connected to my LAN, get the names of the computer associated with those addresses, then display them like so in a list: “Bob’s L33T Boxx: #.#.#.#” Something like the network scanner in Apple Remote Desktop is what I’m looking to recreate. Eventually, I’m looking to make some little app-type thing that scans my network, displays who’s connected, then pops up a list and allows me to choose which one I want to connect to. Is there an AS way to make this list-type thing? Thanks in advance.
