Newbie: Putting message in the menu bar.

What I would like to do is to get Birthdays and Anniversaries out of the Address book and have them in the menu bar during that day. I have seen the script to find birthdays,

Is there a way to get the results up in the menu bar? The reason for this is because I do not always open iCal.

I found an app that did what I wanted. http://www.objectpark.net/ .

My question still remains about putting something in the menu bar, or is it better to have a script folder down in the dock where I run individual scripts from?

Hi Russ,

I used to use Stickies to remind me of things before. It’s harder to script Stickies in OSX but I think it can be done. I used to fool around with the Stickies resource. Maybe put the note on the right, bottom of the screen in a floating window. I don’t think searching Address Book for Birthdays will be too hard but who knows, with iapps.
