I am new to OSX and am interested in scripting network location to change and launch apps. But my Applescript editor remains blank after recording.

Very few applications in Mac OS X 10.2.8 and under are recordable. Bummer!
BBEdit, Tex-Edit-Plus, QuickTime…
Are recordable, the rest including the Finder are not recordable (I may have missed one of two additional app’s). The Finder in Panther will be recordable.
