For quark try this (not sure if this works on x but it should)
open file “BLA BLA BLA” use doc prefs yes remap fonts no do auto picture import yes
use doc prefs is like clicking keep doc setting remap fonts no is like clicking continue when the missing font dialog shows up and the picture part you know already.
