Has anyone else continued to get “Out of Memory” Errors when scripting the Desktop Printer Manager EVEN AFTER adjusting its memory allocation with ResEdit, as Apple recommends in TechNote 31064?
Are there any additional steps I can take in order to remedy this issue?
The script I am writing will be deployed on several Macs, none of which I will have control over the OS version, so I need my script to be prepared to run stably under 8.6.

Try to get hold of the OS 9 version of the Desktop Printer Manager Scripting Addition. It seems to fix the problems and works fine on 8.6 systems.
