Perl script output to screen

Using a perl script in Automator, I want to display the output of the script to the LCD screen in a dialog box or something similar. I’ve used the action “view results” but it only displays within automator. I need a solution for a standalone application. Any help?

These are not Automator solutions but you may want to take a look at them.
I use Platypus the most.

If you must use Automator, you could also pipe the output into a run applescript action then display dialog the
results.
