I’m new to scripting, so I appreciate any advice you can give me. I have made all these actions in Photoshop for creating and editing “2-up” layouts, aka diptychs, for editorial and magazine work. I am now trying to automate or script these actions to work in tandem with the manual file arrangements I have created in Adobe Bridge. Ideally I would be able to arrange my images in Bridge, then run this script, perhaps from a desktop droplet or from the Events manager. The action needs to be applied to every OTHER (alternating) image in the folder; it copies the next image, pastes it to the previous one, and arranges them the way I want and flattens and saves the new layout. I assume this could also be done by sequencing the new arrangement of images in Bridge with a batch rename, but then I would still need to figure out a script, using Photoshop or Automator, to apply the action to every other image in the folder.
