Placing of Math Type formulas from Doc file to Indesign

Hello all,

I have a doc file with simple math equations using Math Type. I am importing the doc file into Indesign for pagination. When i import that i am getting empty space in the place of Math type equations. I would like to have the math in Indesign also. In Indesign i am using InMath.

so i would like to know if there is any method to do this process or any Plugin available.

most of the math equations are like fraction (e.g 3/4 , 5/6). Atleast i want this numbers should be placed in Indesign. so that i don’t have to rekey the math variable.

I am using Indesign CS. Mac OS X.

Please help me in this regard.

Thanks

MathType saves its output as a .gif file - it’s an image, not text, so you have to insert it as an image in the text.

Hi,

I would like to have TEXT. If i have image in Indesig, i will not be able to convert into to Inmath.

Text is not an option in MathType, and at best for your purposes you can save as an EPS file with a preview that will show in inDesign, etc. Sounds like MathType is not your tool of choice.
