W.T.F. - why can I not make a simple script to eject a damn disk?? Can anyone take pity on the poor village idiot and share some insight???

Perhaps the Finder doesn’t have any ‘damn disks’. Try this instead:
tell application "Finder" to eject disk "name of disk"
