I want to use PSTOPDF to generate PDF (no problem there)but want the same results as using distiller on press setting or as close as I can get it is there some way to do this in applescript/xcode or shell,.

I looked into this awhile ago, and if I remember correctly PSTOPDF is really no substitute for the Distiller / Adobe PDF engine as far as separation quality PDF’s go. It just doesn’t have the capabilities.

thanks for the response I too have found any solution to this problem (other than distiller) is not worth the time and energy
