Hi-
With the help of the good people of MacScripter, I was able to cobble together a script that takes a bunch of .eps files (figures from a Chemistry Text laid out in Quark) and transforms them into different file formats, one of these being .pngs for insertion in PPTs.
Awesome.
What I’m presented with now is an excel sheet that lists the figure names (eg Figure 16.6), gives the corresponding figure file name (eg 322560_la_16_07.eps) --which will be the slide title-- and finally gives a caption to go under the figure name. Ideally, I’d like to write a script that can flow all the figures into slides with the appropriate text. However, this may be overly ambitious at the time being…
There’s functionality in Office I can use to create blank slides from my Figure list if need be, and I figured it would be fairly simple to write a script that simply starts with the first image in the directory and places it in the next available blank slide.
I’d love any kickstarts y’all could provide.
