print to file into a distant folder

:rolleyes: Hello,
is it possible to create a printer, not really connected to a printer, but send a file into a folder on fileserver ? Because we have Distiller wih hotfolder, and another RipSoftware that generate differents ouptut files format and it use hotfolders.

I made it succesfully with OS 9 and AdobePs with print service utility (convert ps option able to create the postscript file in a volume mount (distant folder))

But I can’t see how can I do the same with Os X (not able to use AdobePS), and the virtual Printer in localhost is not useful.

Do you have any ideas ? ps: working with Xpress 6.1

The most common method is to save/export the Xpress file to PostScript and then let the Distiller/RIP deal with it.
