Printers not in desktop printers?

Hi…
I use an applescript to print out PDF’s from Office (print2pdf). But I would love to be able to print out pictures of the same document (mac os 9) so I need a way to change the printer to Print2Pict 3.7.1.
Does anyone know how to change the printer if the printer pluggin is not a desktop printer? I ask this because the Print2Pict is not a desktop printer and I need to change the current printer to that one.

Try an osax called Use Printer - It’s always been more reliable that scripting the Desktop Printer Manager, and I’ve been able to use it with non-Desktop Printer printer drivers (like a Fax driver, which doesn’t even use LaserWriter8).
