I’ll release this baby january, 1, if I don’t receive some bad reports from you (and if I don’t receive reports, at all).
It is a batch emailer though specially for newsletters, featuring html messages, support for 1 attachment and smart customization of both subject and body of the message. (and it doesn’t require third-party tools, as Mail, Entourage or osaxen; all is bundled: a perl script and a command-line tool)
More info, choose the “Help” menu to browse its documentation.
Most probably you checked “single recipient, multiple BCC” in the preferences. I think I’ve fixed this error and some other glitches.
You help was, as allways, invaluable, Rob… Tx!
A new release, here: http://homepage.mac.com/julifos/soft/beta/newsletter2.sit
Nice start! As an author of a batch emailer (BeMailer), I know this is a useful app. You may want to think about incorporating some features like conditional variables as I implemented in BeMailer. It makes the app very handy for personalization like remembering members birthdays or, when used by a doctor’s office, to remind people of appointments while using a single body message without everyone being notified of the appointment. Just a thought.
I know very well BeMailer. I played with it some time ago, when I was building MultiSend (http://www.macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/category.php?search=multisend).
Your ideas, Jon, are good for a future release, but I don’t know (didn’t think about it) how-to integrate these into this app. Just know, I wouldn’t like integrate it with the Address Book or some email clients. I’ll think about it later…
Thanks!
Searched google and here but can’t find the right one.
We receive a 64 page pdf (pdf x/3) of about 150 megs
Since we need to personalize that document (with Creo Darwin) we have to import that document in Xpress.
Is there any way of doing the import (per page in xpress) automatically?
I.e:
64 page pdf > import results in 64 page Xpress document.
PDF page 1 is Xpress page 1
PDF page 2 is Xpress page 2
etc. etc.
PDF page 64 is Xpress page 64.
Since I’m a c# programmer I don’t have much experience with Applescript, so any possible help is greatly appreciated.
