I’m not sure I understand the question. Are you trying to print without the print dialog or are you trying to watch the progress or the printing ?
mm
I want to watch the progress. My script makes a postscript file without the print dialog window but I would like see the progess bars as it goes through the files.

kerry I thought it already did that… what is the point of seeing the bar ? to know if the file is done ?
Yes, just to give a visual of when the postscript is done. Right now all you see is the scripting menu in QuarkXpress stays highlighted until the postscript is written.
I would get progress bars when I ran the script under QuarkXpress 6.5 and 10.3 but I am now on 10.4 with QuarkXpress 7.1 and now I get no progress bars.

my guess is that was a change they made with 7 I doubt you could get it back but you could write some code to see if the file exists and is the size is stable then display a dialog saying it is done .
