Question about controlling encoders in iTunes

Hi all. I wa wondering if it’s possible to not only change encoders in iTunes with applescript but also to change specifics to that encoder. For example, have one script that sets the encoder to mp3 320kbps and another that sets it to mp3 190kbps? I don’t see anything that would allow one to access those parameters. Thanks for any ideas on this.

Browser: Safari 419.3
Operating System: Mac OS X (10.4)

Hi Michael,

with plain vanilla AppleScript this is not possible.
Maybe with GUI scripting.

I tried going this route but had trouble accessing all of the elements necessary to do this. I could script/control some parts of the path but not others. And UI Element Inspector didn’t help much. I’ll keep plugging away, though.
