QuickTime Player: Three audio volume levels

In QuickTime Player there are three audio volume levels:

  1. The regular volume level that the GUI slider controls

Then in Window/Show Movie Properties/Audio Settings:

  1. Another volume control when at the top the movie filename is selected
  2. Yet another volume control when at the top the movie “Sound Track” is selected

All three are additive, so if I increase all of them I can get a lot of extra playback volume.

But when I open QuickTime Player’s dictionary, I can find syntax only to set #1, the regular volume level that the GUI slider controls.

I need to change #2 & #3 as well. Am I overlooking them in the dictionary, or am I going to have to resort to GUI scripting?

Thanks!

Hi

It looks like you can set the “sound volume” for the document which your aware of,
and also the “sound volume” for the track!
Not sure if that is gonna do what you want but that’s all i can see in the dictionary.

Thanks, Pidge! … Where are you finding the sound volume for the track? In the “document” part of the dictionary suite, I see only the sound volume for the regular GUI volume control.

you can find it under track or search sound volume which brings up both!
