Quitting without saving

I have a script in which I would like to close a window of a non-scriptable application without saving the contents the window and without quitting the application. Does anyone know if it is possible (and if it is, how to do it)?

Model: MDD dual 1.25 GHz
Browser: Safari 412
Operating System: Mac OS X (10.4)

Never mind ” I got it to work after I discovered that I’d made a stupid mistake ” so stupid that I’m not going to say what it was!
