Re: newbie folder action frustration

Hello Andreas,
I have two versions of my startup disk (Hard drive and CD). Please see the results below.
Hard drive: everything currently works. the computer boots and the script that included DD commands works perfectly.
CD: this was created from the Hard drive listed above. When the script that includes DD commands starts I get error message. It seams that DD commands were not recognized. I also sometimes get a message to startup with extensions disabled because of a CD/DVD extension error.
I don’t know if the extensions error has anything to do with it but I thought if might be a clue to what is happening.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Damon

Do you have the Dialog Director osax installed in your Scripting Additions folder of the System Folder of your CD?

Yes it is in the Scripting additions folder of the CD.
Are there any possible reasons that this should not work on a CD that you can’t write to ( a locked disk)?

I don’t think so but what was the exact error message you got?
