Resolution changes when projector connected

Hi,

when I connect my PowerBook to a beamer, my resolution changes from 1024x768 to 800x600 and I have to go through system preferences to change that.

Is there some other way to do that?

I’ve read about this UI scripting but that only seems to be available for 10.3 (I’m still running 10.2) .

Any ideas?

(BTW, there is a beta system events, supporting UI Scripting, available for Jaguar)
