Rosenthal's Book = AppleScript: A Comprehensive Guide...

I cannot find a local copy of this highly touted book at a store, so does this book go into DETAIL on GUI scripting and just how much detail???

Oh what would I give for the years of energy required to sort and print by topic all the technical genius in this BBS.

Are you aware that we have a seperate area dedicated to book reviews? (Such as Hanaan Rosenthal’s Applescript: Guide To Scripting And Automation on Mac OS X.)

John:

Alas, Mr. Rosenthal’s book does cover GUI generally, but not in a lot of detail. It is my opinion that there exists no text out there that truly reveals the in depth possibilities of GUI scripting. We have a few links on our links page:

http://macscripter.net/links/

that help you out, but to really do GUI well, I believe you will need to do some time consuming experimentation as well as examining threads here in this forum and in the Automator Scriplets forum:

We have a few members here that are fantabulous GUI scripters, so once you get started, post your questions and scripts freely, and you should be able to get a good start quickly.
