Script Editor and scripts all crash on exit, anything I can do?

I’m running Mac OS 10.3.9 and recently every AppleScript I run unexpectedly quits. When I run Script Editor and quit it, it also unexpectedly quits. All scripts run fine, but when they quit this is when the crash occurs. Here is the crash log from a session where I launched Script Editor and then after doing nothing I quit.

Any suggestions for what I can do besides reinstall the system?

Hi,

I deeply distrust that unsanity stuff
Has deaktivating of APE any effect?

Before reinstalling the whole system, try to install the 10.3.9 Combo Update

Thank you for the suggestions.

I uninstalled APE and I ran the 10.3.9 Combo Updater, sadly I still get the crashing.

This is my main work machine and there are so many apps installed I really don’t want to start from scratch. I’ve been considering getting this machine off 10.3.9 and up to 10.4.8, maybe this is the time to do it.

I upgraded to OS 10.4.8 and now my scripts run without crashing.

Good decision
