Script for Connecting to a Wireless Network

Noobie here with a straightforward question that I have not been able to solve even after reading the postings here.

I have two accounts on my Mac (OSX). Whenever we switch users, we are automatically disconnected from our wireless network. We have been selecting the wireless icon from the top menu bar, selecting “Other…” because our network name is not being broadcasted, typing in the LONG name for our network.

I want to write a script to re-connect to the network more easily.

The sailient points:

  1. the network name is not broadcasted and must be entered
  2. we do not use encryption, so no password is needed

Model: iBook G4
Browser: Firefox 1.5.0.6
Operating System: Mac OS X (10.4)
