I am looking to have a script run from the IRC client app called Linkinus that will watch for certain keywords and then print out some text. I have never done scripting on a Mac before. I am familiar with shell scripting on Unix though. I am not even sure if I am in the right place to ask about this. I am not entirely certain this is even possible or if maybe I should do it with an IRC bot. Any help towards getting me started on my path would be greatly appreciated.
