Script to start Classic

Hi everyone. I wish I would have found this site long ago.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to write a script that would activate (and deactivate?) Classic?

It might well be an error, but from what I have read, to start Classic you have to launch the Finder. It acts such as a standard application, and to deactivate it quit the Finder.
Can someone confirm me this? (I’ve not yet use OS X)

I’m a noob, so I don’t know much, but

tell application "Internet Explorer"
	open
end tell

opens up a classic app. so now you’re in classic.

and I’m pretty sure os 9 isn’t an app.
