scriptable interaction with modem via voice

Does anyone know of a program that is scriptable and allows you do some basic voice functions over a modem?

here is the basic outline of what I would like to do:

  • script launch
  • pick up phone and dial a number
  • speak over phone “The time is now XX, process is running”
  • hang up
  • pause X period of time
  • pick up phone and dial a number
  • speak over phone “The time is now XX, process is running”
  • hang up

… etc

I suppose it may be nice if I could use DTMF tones to perhaps set the pause period etc, but it is not a hard requirement.

Thanks for any help. I have searched around a bit but not fouhnd anything that fits this. Phone Valet sound close, but tough to tell without purchasing it.

Phone Valet is not very scriptable itself. You can dial but the only option is the number.
It looks like their other product “PhoneHerald” may be what you are looking for.
