EyeTV (a Mac OS X television digitizer/PVR from El Gato) has extensive AppleScript support. I am working on a project that may take advantage of this.
Long story short: would it be possible to write an AppleScript that generates a separate folder in the “EyeTV Archive,” whose content is Symbolic Links to all of EyeTV’s current recordings (but with more descriptive titles?) The way EyeTV currently saves files is with long cryptic names and a seperate folder with accurate names (pulled from the application itself) would be very cool.
This is the missing piece to my project’s puzzle, I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
