Scripting Addition to Unmount an External Vollume

Is anyone familiar with an OS X Scripting Addition which will unmount a volume of an external (USB) disk. I don’t want to eject the disk, just unmount one of the two volume partitions on the disk.

:?:

I didn’t know that all mounts from a disk were lost when you ejected just one mount. Could you post your eject statements? If you can’t get the eject to work propperly, you might also use do shell script with the unmount command. (Type ‘man unmount’ in terminal.)

It appears to be true that “eject disk” will eject every volume of an external disk (at least for a USB external disk). I can “unmount” individual volumes using Disk Utility" but that is cumbersome.

I’ll give the Terminal a try !
