Scripting Stored files on AirDisk or Time Capsule Disk

Hey Gang,

I’m building a small script that grabs files (not TimeMachine Backups) off my Time Capsule Drive. The trouble is I can’t seem to get Applescript to find the drive. I’ve used various versions of this …

set NetworkRecords to POSIX file “Shared/Time Capsule/Sync Files/RecordFiles.sparsimage”

But get an error that Applescript can’t find it. I’m sure this is a basic question but searching the archives I couldn’t find the answer. Any help is appreciated.

Run this and choose the RecordFiles.sparsimage
The dialog will have your path and so will your
clipboard.


set sharedFile to choose file
set sharedFile to (POSIX path of sharedFile as string)
set the clipboard to sharedFile
display dialog "Here is your path." default answer sharedFile

Thanks! The last time I programmed a computer was BASIC on a tandy color computer in 1981 with a whopping 4k memory. Needless to say, I’m having a blast learning applescript.
