I am completely new to this so sorry if its really basic…
I am running MacOS9 and need a script that will watch a folder when a file is placed in, it will be copied to another folder on the same system.
Any clue would be greatfully received.

You need to look into using Folder Action scripts. There should be a folder with some example scripts in your System folder in a folder named “Scripts” Apple has a web site with some more examples and info that should be able to get you started.
