I am new to MacScripter and so if I am in the wrong category, please let me know.
I would like to create an applescript that would take the selected text in TextEdit and apply a single strikethrough on it.
This might sound dumb, but there is a method to my madness. I use Textedit as a quick little todo list for the day and I want a keyboard shortcut to Strikethrough the text. The unfortunate thing about Textedit is that Strikethrough is not placed in a menu item so I can not add a keyboard shortcut to it from System Preferences. The only thing I can do is assign an applescript to a Keyboard shortcut, hence the reason for the inquiry.
