Set Illustrator preferences with Applescript

I searched the forums, and I didn’t find an answer, so here goes:

Using Applescript, how can I switch units in Document setup for Illustrator CS3 from points to inches? For example, I have a 612pt x 792pt document in Illustrator, and I want Applescript to switch the units of measurement to inches, so the document size will be 8.5 x 11. Can this be done?

In Scripting Illustrator there is NO option to use any other unit measure other than points.
You need to calculate all. and use this pants I know.
