Simple Variables. Save PDF in Preview

Hi folks,
Simple script here.

The needed function is to specify a certain folder of PDFs to be opened in Preview, “save as”, and close. Ideally any folder I can point to. But thats all. Color me silly, but how does this get done?

As far as I know, Preview isn’t scriptable.
Why not use the free Skim which is scriptable ?
