Sort Shortcuts in a Folder

In the Shortcuts app, when in list view, you can click on a header to sort the shortcuts. However, on my Sequoia computer, the sort is not retained when the Shortcuts app is restarted.

The following shortcut sorts the shortcuts in a specified folder. As written, only 10 or fewer shortcuts can be sorted, but this is only a temporary precaution until the reliability of the shortcut is established. I tested this shortcut without issue, but please create a backup of your shortcuts before running this shortcut.

The following screenshot only shows a portion of the shortcut.

The above shortcut requires that the user enter the name of the folder to be sorted. The following shortcut allows the user to select the folder from a list. I prefer this approach because it appears to eliminate the need for extensive error checking. However, please have a backup of all shortcuts before testing this shortcut.

This is a revised version of the second shortcut in this thread, differing in that it uses the shortcuts shell command to get the folders in the Shortcuts app. I’ve been using this shortcut without issue for a day now, but please have backup copies of all shortcuts just in case.
