Starting Record causes Apple Event Error

To all:

This evening I was attempting to record an Applescript using TextEdit plus but when I clicked on the record button in the script editor it immediately produced an Apple event error and jumped me to another open application. I have no idea why this occurred.

Similarly, when I went back to the script editor and clicked on the stop command it once again produced the same apple event error. I would appreciate help with this. I’m attempting to use TextEdit plus which is a recordable scripting application in order to learn the scripts that are generated by certain actions.

Apple adds updates in the OS charging $. About $120. I wouldn’t wait for them to do such things also, as I waited 6 years where there were no updates that mattered. If you want recordability in a text editor, download Tex-Edit Plus:
