hi

deeply frustrated with the little progress OS 10.6 shows in the FINDER - and worse: some features are not working anymore!

  • had long hoped ICON scriptability would be restored where it was with OS 9… in vain!
  • positioning finderitems via script has become an important feature for me - to make good for the generally poor implementation of userviews on the items on their desktop/in their finder windows. in OS 10.6 this seems to be broken…

tell app "Finder"
tell window 1
set position of item 1 to {100,100}
end tell
end tell

for example will not work anymore…

any more issues to discover??
