Using Applescript to index PDFs created with ScanSnap

I just purchased a Fujitsu ScanSnap. It scans the documents very nicely to PDF but they are just bitmaps. I would like to convert them to save them as indexable text. Doesanybody knows how to have an applescript:

Watch or I could manually trigger to look in a folder and see if there are new pdf’s.
Open the PDF in Acrobat 7 Standard.
OCR the entire PDF via Acrobat 7 Standard.
Save the PDF.
Change the Defaut Application to Preview for viewing this pdf.
Move PDF to another folder when it is finished.
Have all this done in the background if possible.

Is this possible via applescript?

Hi.

I am currently (as in right now) working on something to do some of what you are asking. Keep checking this thread for more info! Note that ReadIris Pro 11 does a great job of OCR. I am not using Acrobat for this.

My main purpose is to make the PDF indexable so I can find them either via spotlight or another application. It’s time to go paperless!
