using AS to create an iCal event, *with an alarm*

Looking at the Applescript dictionary for iCal 1.0.1, I don’t see any way, when making a new event, to specify an alert for that event.

(e.g. “display window 2 days before” or “send me an email 30 minutes
before”)

Am I correct about this limitation, or am I just missing something?

I think you’re right. There’s nothing in the dictionary regarding alarms for events, and changing an event to have an alarm doesn’t change the object as far as AppleScript sees it.
