Title: Performance Automation Engineer
Description:
A Performance Automation Engineer will maintain, support, and develop automation environments used for performance testing.
The job will entail interaction with in-house development and performance groups, third party development and performance groups, and QA groups. The engineer will support existing automation environments and integrate new internally and externally developed benchmarks, applications, analysis and profiling tools used for analyzing hardware and software performance and isolating bottlenecks. The engineer will also help maintain, expand, and develop new performance tools and test infrastructure for the group.
The engineer should possess advanced scripting and software development skills. A background in AppleScript and GUI test development is a must. Experience with performance measurement, benchmarking, and CPU/system architecture is a big plus.
Successful candidates will be self-motivated, hard working, and have a proven track record of getting the job done. An innate sense of curiosity and the ability to learn quickly will also benefit the candidate greatly. A methodical and structured approach to building automation and general programming is a must. Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills are also a must.
Qualifications:
¢ A Minimum of 3+ years of experience in software development.
¢ Skilled at writing automation test code and scripting in Mac OS X (Applescript,
¢ python, perl, shell, TCL, expect, PHP, etc.).
¢ Knowledge of software development fundamentals, and operating system fundamentals is required.
¢ Previous experience in performance measurement is highly desired.
¢ Knowledge of CPU and systems architecture is desirable.
¢ Experience with digital creation or pro apps like Maya, Modo, Cinema4D, Motion, etc. is desirable.
¢ Web development knowledge is a plus.
Education:
BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required.
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Pay Rate: DOE
Duration: 3-6 month contract
