I’m a newbie, but before i go crazy learning applescript i want to know if its even possible to automate tasks in all applications. I need to automate tasks in Macromedia Flash and a sound editing software titled “Amadeus II”.
Am i going to dig and dig and dig and never get anywhere?
Any thoughts?

If you know actionscript, just use the JSFL API, which has a similar syntax:

I’m not sure, but I think that Amadeus II is scriptable. So, you can script-it. Also, Panther introduces a new technologie called “UI Scripting” which makes accesible to applescript menu items, buttons, etc. So, you can use it to automate any no-scriptable application (not full support for carbon apps).
