It appears time for me to learn Applescript. I’ve been combing the net looking for a starter script to learn from. What I need is a script that does the following in Word 2008
-
Open a document I’ve created with some template fields (i.e. Dear Mr. NAME)

Give me a dialogue box that allows me to fill in the variable (i.e. “Please type in the dude’s name” ___)

Goes into the document and replaces NAME with the variable in all instances.
I thought there would be something like this already but can’t seem to find one. Can anyone give me a kick in the right dircection?
